USAID – China – The Deficit And The Steal

U

(Day 18 – 1451 to go)

While the bright young things at the Department of Graft and Egregiousnes continue with the Great Steal of your data and payment processes on behalf of the Broligarchy, Nr 47 and his acolytes continue to flood the media zone and your attention with distractions. These are obviously not mere distractions but of themselves play a part in cementing the culture war trap that the regime (I dont think “administration” is any longer the correct noun) has led the oppposition into. YES the actions of the regime on the ICC, on prosecuting officials not on board with the immigration policy, on relocating palestinians, on Canada, on Greenland and so the litany rolls on are each for themselves worthy of robust condemnation – but they serve in reality to obfuscate the single most obvious crime taking place right infront of your noses. The hijacking of legislative oversight over the executive and the subjugation of all branches of government to the one King and his coterie of merry miscreants.

If you are American, the choice is now stark – either you agree with what is being done and are fine with the destruction of democracy and subservience to the oligarchy, and thus the real end of the american dream. Or you are not. And if you are not then you have no option, as I see it, but to barrage your representative and senators with demands that they stand up for their rights and subject the regime to a proper oversight. If you do not, you too will have been complicit in allowing the great steal.

While all this is going on, one distraction in particular sticks out as being not only extremely cruel, but then this never was a hurdle anyway, but in reality extremely stupid strategically: The hiatus to USAID:

With all the turbulence in the Chinese economy right now and the need to rebalance to internal demand, exacerbated by tariffs, it will not take long for China to fill the gap of 40% of total world development spending left by the dismantling of USAID. By the time the State Department has aligned the rump of the agency with its policies and thus the will of #47, it is very likely that China will have picked up the slack on all the projects that have just been left hanging. The increase in soft power (the kind of power with which the USA was able to dominate the world stage after 1945 and the UK used at the end of the 19th century to, for example, bring South America in to its expanded imperial orbit) which then accrues to China, occurs at the expense of the US. If at the same time the Chinese stop buying US Treasury bills and instead pumps the cash into the expansion of their development bank, the path to the US losing its status as the reserve currency of choice will be accelerated on both fronts.  The regime of#47 can threaten tariffs on countries not using the USD for international trade til the cows come home, sooner or later the threat will become irrelevant and this could happen really quickly now during the term of this regime.

What that will do inflation, ability to fund the debt, and the US Financial System will require a whole new round of distractions.

Call or write your officials now.
